Digital India Foundation

Digital India Foundation is a policy think-tank promoting Digital Inclusion, Cyber Security, Mobile Manufacturing, Domestic Consumption, Software Products and Smart Cities. Since its inception in 2015, it has worked with pioneers in industry, academia and government organizations on issues ranging from promoting a safer and inclusive product and policy environment for Indian ecosystem.

Specific work undertaken by DIF.

As consultant to MyGov (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), we organised Citizens Voice Challenge with an aim to provide innovative ideas and solutions for converting voice notes into actionable text and insights. The trigger for organising this challenge and ultimate implementation was from the fact that MyGov has an operational voice helpline – MyGov1800, IVR operated toll-free number, which allows users to call and leave feedback and suggestions for the upcoming Mann Ki Baat. This toll-free number receives ~15,000 calls a month and these notes are critical in determining the content of future interactions by the prime minister, as well as key policy initiatives for the government.
